From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

  • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
  • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
  • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
  • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level

Calgary International Airport[edit]

Unprotection: I think it can have the PC removed at this point, I don't see persistent vandalism or disruptive editing in the past couple years of edits. the only IP vandalism has been minor and infrequent. it's certainly not at the level it was when the page was protected. I also see constructive edits by unregistered and unconfirmed editors. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 15:53, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Check the filter log. It hasn't stopped. It's just getting held up by the filters. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 21:30, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, the last edit that was actually stopped by the filter for that page was in February. The time before that was in June 2023. A lot of the recent filter log entries are tagging/logging ones. Sdrqaz (talk) 01:37, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
not really. the protection was for persistent disruptive editing. i'd hardly call one in a year persistent. at the time it was protected, the volume was a fair bit higher. -- Aunva6talk - contribs 03:46, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unprotected But I have put that on my watchlist; Airport articles have a tendency to be fiddled with regarding destinations and such. Lectonar (talk) 13:26, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
